QAHN held a roundtable today at the Merry House in Magog. Our focus was Indigenous history, heritage and small museums, and we were honoured to be able to welcome special guest Gilbert Whiteduck, Kitigan Zibi Algonquin elder and current president of the Gatineau Valley Historical Society

Also on hand for this stimulating discussion were reps from the Missisquoi Museum, the Musée Colby-Curtis / Société historique de Stanstead, the Musée Lac-Brome Museum, the Georgeville Historical Society, Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre, and QAHN.

Participating as well was Lisa Shortt of the SRQEA, our primary funders for this event, which is part of QAHN's ongoing "MATCH" program.

Currently on display at the Merry House is the exhibition "Ndakina," produced in collaboration with the Musée des Abénakis and the Grand Conseil de la Nation Waban-Aki.
