Hello!

Our class has really enjoyed listening to the final version of the podcast we created. Kudos to John who went above and beyond the call of duty by finding some background music. Background music was one of our weaker parts, but John was able to add it in - my students commented on how much they enjoyed the music.

We have also listened to other podcasts. It is wonderful to hear how other students proceeded. Some used all the time for interviews, with very little or no narration. Some topics were really neat and showed off a unique characteristic of their community.

I applied for a PDIG grant for next year to work with a colleague of mine and my local community associations in order ot produce many more podcasts. You have given us a great inspiration and I have downloaded all the podcasts to use as samples next year.

Our next step is to take the podcast (sound file) and add images. I hope that in May/June we will then be able to have a multimedia version of our podcast. This is an exciting spin-off for our project.

Thanks to the project coordinators, Louise, Mark, John, Ray (RECIT coordinator), my local support team and my school board (ESSB). It was a real team effort!

Stephen

Hi Stephen and students,

Thank you for your great comments. I’m really pleased that you enjoyed your podcast. You made a fantastic product and I agree with you about John’s work.

Let us know when you will complete your multimedia version of your podcast and if you receive comments about your work from people in your community.

It’s a real pleasure to know that this Blue Met project inspired your class for future projects. Keep us informed!

I will be in contact with you for the surveys and comments about the programme.

Maïté
