Welcome to the QAHN downloads page. We will endeavour to post, in as timely manner as possible, all public documents relative to QAHN here for easy download by interested parties. In order to use these downloads, you need two programs installed on your computer. You need a Zip program that can decompress zipped files. There are several but Winzip is easy - www.winzip.com. The other program you require is Acrobat reader. You can download this at www.adobe.com. Once you have these two programs set up you can download, read and manipulate these documents.

Funding Programs

April 1, 2009 Deadline - Two funding opportunities for heritage sector Two funding opportunities are available through the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program of Canadian Heritage - Local Arts and Heritage Festivals, and Community Historical Anniversaries Programming. Deadlines for both applications are April 1, 2009.
February 1, 2009 Deadline - Young Canada Works Funding Opportunities The Canadian Museums Association (CMA) in partnership with the federal government’s Department of Canadian Heritage announced the launch of their Young Canada Works (YCW) programs for 2009-10. Two options are available for hiring summer students and for creating graduate internships - Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations, or Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage. 2007 Montreal Mosaic Heritage Summit Summary QAHN produced a chronological summary of the proceedings of its Montreal Mosaic Heritage Summit held at the McCord Museum.
2008 Roots Quebec Heritage Summit Programme QAHN"s 2008 Roots Quebec Heritage Summit was held on Thanksgiving weekend, Oct. 11 and 12, at the Morrin Centre in Quebec City.
2008 Sister Societies of Montreal QAHN's Sister Societies of Montreal conference was held on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the historic Montreal Masonic Memorial Temple on Sherbrooke Street.

2004 Heritage Community Needs Assessment QAHN conducted a needs asssessment among Quebec's anglophone heritage community.
2006 Young Canada Works Program QAHN shared the guide for employers wishing to participate in Canada's national student employment subsidy program.
2006 Bright Futures Begin in the Past - Heritage Awareness and Stewardship QAHN sponsored the Heritage Awareness and Stewardship Training Initiative (HASTI) as an educational guide on the value of Quebec's rich and diverse heritage from historic buildings, parks, archeological ruins, to cultural artifacts, that all tell us something about our history.

2008 Heritage Youth Corps Action Plan QAHN's Heritage Youth Corps Action Plan is a blueprint for linking anglophone youth in rural regions with volunteers from the heritage sector. This draft plan identifies 21 heritage cemeteries, and contains an outline and budget for two Heritage Youth Corps work crews in the Eastern Townships region.
2008 Cemetery Heritage Inventory and Restoration Initiative (CHIRI) Final Report In 2008, QAHN undertook the Cemetery Heritage Inventory and Restoration Initiative (CHIRI), a survey of more than 300 old anglophone graveyards in five Quebec regions, Estrie, Montérégie, Laurentides, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Outaouais.
